Butterfly Farm at La Guácima with us. Ride in our
comfortable minivan through the countryside of the Central
Valley to this working farm dedicated to the breeding of butterflies
for export. Costa Rica Hosts over 800 species of butterflies
such as the giant electric-blue morpho, which you can see
live and up close at The Butterfly Farm. Here, experienced
guides take you through an enclosed tropical
garden filled with hundreds of butterflies and discuss natural
history, the farm's operations and answer the inevitable question,
“Who buys live butterflies?“ They'll even let
you in on a few secrets on how to attract butterflies to your
yard at home, just ask!
After the Butterfly Farm, head for the slopes
of the Barva volcano where you'll enjoy the Café Britt
CoffeeTour followed by lunch
at Café Don Próspero,
a special course on how to make Cappuccino and the chance
to shop at La Choza del Café, Britt's factory outlet.
